JOURNEY TO 1.0 BEYOND BATTLE ROYALE

Last week we ran a streaming presentation during our Thursday Developer Play Days, and featured some new core information about Fractured Lands and our Early Access development! If you missed it, you can catch the whole thing via archived YouTube video here on our channel:

“But it’s so long!” you say, well then let me digest and regurgitate it for you here!

With the launch of Season 2, we completed the main two Battle Royale modes for Fractured Lands, of course counting additional performance fixes and additions to the game that are already planned–but beyond that scope, what else were we looking to do in these wastes we’ve created?

That’s where our Journey to 1.0 Roadmap comes in:

With our first new Phase of development (already being worked on), we’ll be exploring new PvP modes that emphasize matches that jump right into the action, using traditional gunplay, but also exploring vehicle modes, we’ll be getting you into matches quicker so that the fun of playing in our wasteland…isn’t wasted.

Our second Phase of development (which is also already being developed in parallel) expands the multiplayer world of Fractured Lands into a sandbox mode with persistent progression. This allows you to spend your own calculated moments crafting, hunting, exploring and surviving in the wastes. This includes deadly enemy AI and fighting for territory, resources, and a secure place in the wasteland.

Lastly, the third Phase involves various changes to the vanity reward system, additional PVE content and modes, as well as some upgrades to the customization system. All along the way through each phase, we’ll be making changes and upgrades to our performance and adding quality of life improvements. Development for 1.0 is working in conjunction with additions and changes we’ll make to the active live game, just as we’ve done for Seasons 1 and 2.

We’ll be adding new material and experimenting with these additions throughout Early Access development, so you don’t have to wait for the 1.0 Full Release to try out some of the new content, especially if you’re following us on Discord and checking in with the community now and then. Our dates above are windows of time, and subject to change, but we will continue to keep you informed if there are any updates.

Last thing, we also teased a little image that relates to the subject matter above, but don’t worry we’ll show you even more as we move forward.

As always, thank you so much for your continued support. With much left to do, we are counting on you to stick with us and see it to the end, but we’ll be sure to make lots of fun things along the way for you to enjoy and get excited about.

The weather outside is frightful
Robert
